I became interested in being a hairstylist at a very young age. I had relatives in the business, so being around it influenced me a great deal, from getting perms as a child (mom’s idea) to coloring my hair with friends, starting in junior high.
I have been in the business for 19 years, starting in Michigan, attending many trainings and seminars, including at the Chicago International Beauty Show. I enjoy doing all different types of hair services. It is a wonderful and rewarding business being surrounded by positive people. I have worked at a variety of places. My experiences include owning my own, one-chair salon in Michigan, to booth rent. I have also worked at a corporation and in North Carolina on the beach at a salon that specialized in wedding styles.
